After hoisting the colors, firing an authentic cannon, and gaining your sea legs, Captain Cannonball and his crew will train the Swabbies and Lil Buccs in the ways of piracy.

The Buccaneer is a 100-foot, triple-decked pirate ship, purpose-built for unleashing maritime merriment! With cannon ports ready for action, towering masts that kiss the clouds, and the Jolly Roger flapping proudly in the salty breeze, she strikes an imposing silhouette on the horizon that sends shivers down the spines of ordinary cruise ships!

Your pirate adventure launches in Destin Harbor, where the crew will gather all the Scallywags and Lil Bucs on the main deck to partake in the interactive fun and excitement. Parental involvement is voluntary, or if yer not keen to plunderin’ and swabbin’ the decks, simply sit back, relax and watch yer lads and lasses have the time of their lives. All activities take place in the “Circle of Trust” and only those brave enough to complete pirate training will be made honorary members of the Buccaneer Crew. We begin with the basics of piracy, such as speaking in pirate lingo, hoisting the colors, and firing an authentic cannon.

As we exit the harbor and proceed into Destin’s East Pass, the mateys instruct everyone how to walk like a pirate should the seas become rough. Safety and passenger comfort are great concerns and you are in good hands with your captain and crew. We stay inside protected waters, but maintaining your “sea legs” is of the utmost importance while on board any ship. Our band of Buccaneers will be given instruction on the essential pirate skill of defending the ship, as the crew engages the young and young-at-heart in water pistol battles and sword fights. Once pirate training is complete, you’ll need to look the part, and swabbies have the opportunity to get their faces painted.

Now, we are ready to share the pirate code, secrets, and stories in the captain’s very own Treasure Room. Search for sunken treasure, and work together with the rest of your mates to hoist your discovery aboard. Prove yourselves to be a worthy crew, and Captain may even share some of his plunder. Learn lessons more valuable than treasure as you become inducted as honorary members of the Buccaneer Crew! Take the Pirate Oath to set a good example, be a leader, always believe in yourself, and follow your dreams. Our pirate mateys will instill positive values, inspire children of all ages, and interactively entertain your whole family as you set sail on a thrilling voyage of pirate-themed fun.

Buccaneer, Destin’s Premier Pirate Cruise, is locally owned and operated, which offers guests a personal touch found only in a family-owned business. Our priority is to create an exciting, family-fun adventure that is like no other. On the main deck, the pirates and wenches serve up hot dogs, chips, smoothies, soft drinks, pirate libations, and other various snacks. Souvenirs, pirate garb, and other small gift items will be available for purchase in the galley as well. The captain and crew are on board to serve you; should you have any needs during your cruise, feel free to let anyone of them know.
